Youth Garden Project

The youth garden was designed by James Simon in a UBC Directed Studies project (completed on July 1, 2013), with support from the UBC First Nations House of Learning, UBC Community Learning Initiative, and UBC Global Resource System. The goal is to provide a space for youth to be actively engaged in learning about healthy lifestyle choices as they harvest a variety of indigenous and non-indigenous plants each spring. Activities in the garden are carried out during Math & Science Club and Reading Club programming. The garden is located beside the Musqueam Community Centre.
